Physical Education

PHYSICAL EDUCATION 5 & 6

Physical Education is designed specifically to promote the wellness of the individual both physically and mentally. Physical education provides cognitive content and instruction designed to develop motor skills,knowledge, and behaviors for physical activity and physical fitness. 

Healthy MINDS 5

5th graders will be empowered with a foundation of healthy habits of mind as they transition from elementary school to middle school. This course will provide students with skills around personal responsibility and self-management, resolving conflict and social interaction, perseverance, and accepting and providing constructive feedback. Additionally, students will learn study skills that will help them throughout their middle school and high school years.

Healthy HABITS 6

6th graders will continue to build upon what they learned during Healthy Minds in 5th grade. This course will continue to build skills around personal responsibility and self-management, resolving conflict and social interaction, perseverance, and accepting and providing constructive feedback. Additionally, students will learn healthy habits around nutrition that help lead to lifetime wellness.
